Vicar
John came with his wife Debbie to serve Christ together in Surbiton in September 2021, after enjoying life and ministry in London, Manchester, NE Brazil and Chesham. He has two adult sons who allow him to slip stream on long cycle rides, and he enjoys walking, eating & drinking with Debbie and anyone else who will join them.
Charles Kimbangi
associate minister
Charles joined the team at Christ Church in 2023 after 9 years of serving as a Pastor in South East London. Charles loves listening to podcasts, reading and anything to do with sport, fitness and competition; including running, cycling and football. He is married to Amy and they have two children. Charles oversees Outreach and Evangelism at Christ Church.
Emmanuel baikie
MINISTER IN CHARGE - EMMANUEL CHURCH
Emmanuel joined Christ Church in 2014. He studied for ordained ministry at St. Augustine’s College of Theology and became a self-supporting Curate in the summer of 2019. In January 2025 he was licensed and commissioned to be the Minister in Charge of our sister church, Emmanuel Tolworth. He works as a GP in a role that combines primary care in a large inner-city practice and in Wandsworth prison. He is married with four grown up children. He supports Arsenal FC and likes keeping fit.
Paola WOOLOUGHAN
CHURCH Administrator
Paola moved to Surbiton in 2017. Her educational background is in technology. She has consciously focused her skills working in various roles including events, office management and marketing. One of her best experiences has been working at HTB. She loves meeting new people, getting to know them and running as well as short podcasts.
Sara Weston
Financial Administrator
Sara is married and has two boys. When Sara isn't chasing her boys, you might find her baking, running, balancing the books or collecting the LEGO blocks strewn about her house.
KATE KIM
CHILDREN’S & YOUTH WORKER
Kate has been a member of our church family since 2018. She is married to Seyun and they have three children, Yosei, Edam and Siyu. She loves reading, climbing, and teaching the bible, as well as running korean lessons.
yasmin Humphreys
YOUTH & CHILDREN’S INTERN
Yasmin joined the church in September 2022, soon after becoming a christian. She was baptised in January 2023 and joined our team as Intern in September 2023. She loves football, sharing her faith with others, and has a passion for world mission and supporting the persecuted church.
