The parish of Christ Church Surbiton takes the safeguarding and care of children and vulnerable adults very seriously.
Safeguarding
The PCC at Christ Church, Surbiton Hill has adopted the House of Bishops Safeguarding Policy for children, young people & adults, ‘PROMOTING A SAFER CHURCH’. We also adhere to the procedures laid out in the Southwark Diocese document, ‘A SAFE CHURCH’. The PCC annually reviews its safeguarding policies, procedures and practices. You will find a hard copy of both of these documents in the church office. Click here for our SAFEGUARDING POSTERS which are displayed at church.
If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact safeguarding@ccsurbiton.org
If you have an immediate worry, please contact Social Services or the Police.
Best Practice
We’ve worked hard to ensure that all those who volunteer with us at Christ Church are aware of policy and procedure relating to Safeguarding, including regular training. We have also created the following Best Practice documents for our work with Children & Young People, and for those who work with Vulnerable Adults.
