We have been awarded the UK A Rocha Silver Award Winner 2023 Eco Church

Our relationships with God, His creation and each other are broken in many ways.  We need to say sorry to God for how we turn away from Him in how we treat His creation.

This isn’t just another thing to worry about – it is about God’s love for us and all His creation. Looking after creation is a part of our discipleship as we follow Jesus and become more like Him.  As those who love Jesus we should be good stewards of His creation, speak for justice and take action in God’s strength.

We have included our Creation Care Commitment below as well as some other useful information we hope will help and inspire you to join us on this journey to good neighbours and good stewards.

This isn’t a problem that can wait or be someone else’s problem.  The Church is God’s Plan A.  We need to make a radical lifestyle change. This is about taking real action from a place of love, prayer and faith in God, not just ticking a box or reacting in fear. 

This includes Christ Church. Some great work has been done in the past with Andy and Jeremy. We now want to build action across our congregation, our building and our community and use resources like A Rocha Ecochurch and Tearfund Climate Action Toolkit to do this with our brothers and sisters globally.
